A spectacular, one of a kind piece of artwork was created in Gippsland by leading artist Corey Thomas as part of the creation of our new Inspired by Gippsland brand video.
The coastal grass sculpture was built in Croajingolong National Park using over 200 silver ash tree branches sourced from the local area. Tourism Victoria in conjunction with Destination Gippsland commissioned Thomas to develop and construct the inspiring piece to tell the story of how Gippsland can be inspiring.
Titled An Artist’s Journey of Inspiration the video captures the inspiration, to the development and construction of the artwork from gathering materials, to crafting and producing the finished product.
The video will appear in Moonlight cinemas during the summer of 2011-2012, and on Gippsland’s tourism website inspiredbygippsland.com.au, YouTube and the Inspired by Gippsland Facebook page
